The Four Pillars of COMPASS

Individual, Couples & Group Therapy

COMPASS offers a safe and supportive environment for individuals, couples, and groups to navigate their internal landscapes. Our licensed therapists are dedicated to helping clients work through emotional challenges, trauma, and interpersonal conflicts. By providing a compassionate space for growth, we help you strengthen your relationships and find your "True North" in mental well-being.

Vocational Rehabilitation & Career Navigation

We support individuals in charting their professional journey through two core streams. Our Vocational Rehabilitation ensures a holistic return to work after injury or illness by integrating physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being. This includes worksite and ergonomic assessments, psychometric testing, Transferable Skills Analysis (TSA), and specialized Return-to-Work (RTW) planning. Additionally, our Career Counselling provides personalized guidance to help you identify strengths and values to find a truly fulfilling career path.

Integrated Functional Rehabilitation

This pillar represents the seamless bridge between clinical healing and physical daily function. As an Integrated Rehabilitation Specialist, I address the "Bio-Psycho-Social" barriers to recovery through evidence-based activation. This includes specialized concussion rehabilitation, pain and insomnia management, and exposure therapy to overcome trauma-related triggers. We focus on "functional activation," ensuring you have the cognitive and physical stamina to return to your daily life with confidence.

Tailored Mental Health Training

Jo-Ann foster's resilience and psychological safety within the broader "corporate ecosystem." Specialized presentations and workshops are designed for small to medium-sized organizations, covering critical areas such as Trauma-Informed Care, managing Compassion Fatigue, and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing. Our approach is warm and approachable, focused on enhancing workplace wellness. We also offer bespoke training specifically developed to address your unique business requirements and HR complexities.

COMPASS Approach

Jo-Ann's approach is anchored in the Biopsychosocial model, recognizing that true recovery happens at the intersection of mind, body, and system. Jo-Ann integrates evidence-based talk therapy with neuroscience-informed, 'bottom-up' strategies to address the physical and cognitive roots of trauma and injury. As an Integrated Rehabilitation Specialist, she is guided by a 'whatever it takes' commitment—providing the essential bridge between clinical healing and workplace success. By navigating the interconnectedness of physical, emotional, and systemic barriers, Jo-Ann creates a collaborative roadmap designed to support your unique journey toward holistic growth and professional reintegration.
